As we mark the Hebrew calendar anniversary of October 7th, join Or Shalom Jewish Community to observe Hoshana Raba, Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. We will begin in grief with a yizkor service, focusing on the lives lost on October 7th of last year. We will then make our way to supplication, as is customary on Hoshana Raba, invoking prayers for peace and justice in this time of ongoing violence. And, lastly, we will move to the joy of Simchat Torah and the blessing of entering yet another cycle of Torah time--a blessing we cannot take for granted.
