This three-part series, facilitated by R' Faryn, will help clarify Or Shalom's values as a community both at large and regarding Israel/Palestine. Please note this series is for members only. The end of this process would result in a values statement, which would be displayed on our website and provide guidance to the board when decision-making is needed. Additionally, other action items on how we move forward as a community around this topic would emerge from these sessions, which could include but are not limited to educational opportunities, organizing opportunities, and cultural activities.

This is a community-building opportunity more than political education. We at Or Shalom hold a broad spectrum of political opinions when it comes to our relationship with the state of Israel, the Palestinian people, and the political solutions that we believe would lead to the most justice and peace. However, at our core, we hold shared values, and by unearthing and rooting in our values, we can provide guidance to our community’s leadership as to how to respond in moments of crisis.
