This Purim, Or Shalom is turning things Upside Down! We’re hosting a new kind of Purim bash with a unique shpiel written by our own community! In true Reconstructionist fashion, we’re diving into the mysterious, mythical & mystical Purim story, turning it on its head. Join us for a night of play, satire, improvisation, subversion, interrogation, and social commentary. All are welcome to join us, regardless of membership!

We’re offering programming for families and adults. Children under 12 are free. Check out our schedule below!

To make this event more accessible, KN95 Masks will be provided and required when not eating/drinking. Turn your boring old mask into a Purim mask at our mask decorating station! Best Mask designs will walk away with extra hamantaschen!

8:30 pm: Dancing and Schmoozing

Accessibility: Please note there are two ways to enter the building- a wheelchair-accessible side entrance with a ramp through double doors (FYI the lead-up path has dirt/wood chips) or a staircase with 11 steps. Our programming will be indoors, and there is limited outdoor space for eating and merriment. If you have any access needs you would like to share with us, please let us know in the registration form below. Read our full Covid policy here.
