Purim Celebration — A Night Of Subversive Joy

5:30 PM - 8:30 PMNoe Valley Ministry - 1021 Sanchez StPurim is a holiday of subversive joy in the face of a threatening world. Every year it invites us into the discomfort of turning everything upside down, blurring the boundaries of right and wrong, good and evil, to wrestle with our shadow sides.
This Purim, join Or Shalom for a night of play, satire, improvisation, subversion, interrogation, social commentary, and musical theater! Silly and serious fun for the whole family. Come dressed to impress for our first annual costume contest! A vegetarian Mediterranean dinner will be provided.
Schedule:
5:30-6:15 pm: Dinner, Games, Music and Schmoozing
6:15-6:45 pm: Costume Contest
6:45-7:45 pm: Megillah Retelling and Purim Shpiel (good for the whole family)
7:45-8:30 pm: Klezmer Music & Dancing
All are welcome to join us, regardless of membership! When registering, we invite you to make a donation to help cover the cost of food.
Additionally, we're looking for volunteers to help us with set-up, clean-up, and various tasks throughout the evening. Sign up HERE.
Accessibility: Noe Valley Ministry is ADA accessible. For the safety of the most vulnerable in our community, we ask that you bring a mask and be ready to wear it if you are able. There will be both indoor and outdoor areas available for dining. Read our full Covid policy here.
